Two new variants of Savings Account to empower women, ease of banking to elderly

Mumbai, January 22, 2019:Bank of Baroda has launched two new savings accounts, Baroda Mahila Shakti Saving Account and Baroda Senior Citizen Privilege Saving Account, with the basic ideology being Women Empowerment and Ease of Banking to the elderly, respectively. Both of these products come with attractive discounts/ benefits on Banking services and experiences. The Minimum Balance in Account (QAB) for both the variants will be Rs. 3000/- for metro/urban customers, Rs. 2000/- for semi-urban customers and Rs. 1000/- for rural customers. Other benefits include waivers on annual locker charges, processing fees on different types of loans, privileges on credit and debit cards. At the launch event, Mr. S L Jain, Executive Director – Bank of Baroda said, “With increasing life expectancy, banks and financial institutions have the opportunities as well as the responsibility to serve the growing elderly population and women. We at Bank of Baroda have joined efforts to create the right set of products to examine the holistic financial needs and to inculcate the habit of saving within this segment.”
